‘All That Hope Contains’ Documentary

All That Hope Contains poster vertical

Our Executive Director’s labour of love recently came to fruition at a premiere event in Canada’s Prettiest Town at the Park Theatre, Goderich Ontario.

“All That Hope Contains” is a film documentary that is a history lesson, a window into humanity, an environmental call-to-arms, a touching tribute to our shrinking communities AND its lead character is a pencil sharpener.

The 35-minute film will soon be available online.

From yourschools.ca:

“Working with the Rotary Clubs of Grand Bend and Middelburg, South Africa, the Avon Maitland School Board and the Foundation for Education, the documentary was produced by local film makers Adam Sipione and Wes MacVicar. Adam and Wes spent three weeks travelling in South Africa along with the Rotarians to see for themselves and with their cameras how people in Huron-Perth touch the lives of children. Film Editor Adam Sipione says of the project, “We didn’t know what we had given, until we brought it back.”

This is the true story of reaching out, extending a hand and giving young black children the chance to learn, to grow in a society that needs them to be leaders and contributors, all while erasing a dark past as the fences of apartheid in South Africa remain to this day…

This is a story like no other in Canada. It became a reality through the the ambition and ingenuity of a group of Grand Bend Rotarians who are now sharing this story with rotarians across the country. This is the story of local people here at home working with local people in South Africa determined to make a difference in the lives of children in need.”
