For 30 years the Foundation for Education has provided outstanding enrichment opportunities through a wide variety of arts and life skill-based workshops that demonstrate creativity, innovation, empowerment, equity and inclusion for local students.
Through these unique hands-on educational experiences, led by real-world professionals, kids learn more about themselves by developing skills, exploring new ideas, and building strength and confidence while becoming more optimistic and motivated learners.
This year we are unable to host any live events due to COVID19 protocols. But all is not lost! we’re inviting you to participate in the No Show Gala.
This non-event is a fundraiser for people to continue their traditional Gala support as well as others who also care deeply about ensuring opportunities for every student. I’m sure you wouldn’t mind breaking the dress code, staying in, and skipping an event. Or spending your time settling down with a good book, watching a new movie or perhaps having a family game night. And topping it all off with an order in from your favourite restaurant!
Participation in the No Show Gala means that more of your donation goes directly to support the students of Huron and Perth by eliminating the usual expenses associated with the live event.
Please accept this invitation to the No Show Gala and join us as a leading donor of the Learning Enhancement Fund. Through this fund we will continue to offer small project grants and grants for the Silver Birch and Red Maple Reading programmes in addition to new opportunities for teachers to request funding up to $250 per year for in-class activities such as Arts & Culture, Environmental Action, and Indigenous or Racial Relations. As the pandemic progresses, we’ll continue to innovate, creating new opportunities to support youth through critical enrichment programmes.
With warmest regards,
Ryan Erb Lynda McGregor
