Planting the Fields of Health

Planting the Seeds of Health - Doctors Operating

HealthKick and the Foundation for Education Perth Huron have developed SPECTRUM, a program that encourages students from Huron and Perth Counties to consider careers in rural healthcare. This year, SPECTRUM will be held on Friday, November 2nd 2012, a school board Professional Development Day, and will be hosted at the Huron County Health Unit in Clinton.

The SPECTRUM Career Forum will give up to 30 grade 10, 11, and 12 students to explore a variety of healthcare-related fields, such as medicine, speech language pathology, mental health, diabetes education, and more! During the one day event, the students will participate in hands-on activities related to healthcare and meet with professionals to learn about individual occupations.

Online applications are now available. You can download the application form here or at Health Huron Kick. The deadline is October 5th, 2012. The cost of the forum is $10 and will include snacks, drinks, and lunch.

For more information or to register for this program, please contact Sarah Curry at the HealthKick Office, either by phone 519 – 600 – 2273 ext. 265, or email healthkick@smallbusinesshuron.ca.
