Exploring Healthcare Careers

Young Girl wearing a medical capHealthKick, the Foundation for Education Perth Huron, and the Four County Labour Market Planning Board are hosting Spectrum, a program that encourages students from Huron and Perth Counties to consider careers in rural healthcare. This year, Spectrum will take place on Friday, November 8th, 2013, a school board Professional Development Day, and will be held at the Huron County Health Unit in Clinton.

The Spectrum Healthcare Career Forum will give up to 25 grade 10, 11, and 12 students the opportunity to explore a variety of healthcare-related fields, such as nursing, speech language pathology, respiratory therapy, chiropractic medicine, and more. During the one day event, students will participate in hands-on activities related to healthcare and meet with professionals to learn about individual occupations.

Online applications are now available. Click HERE to download the registration form. The deadline is October 4th, 2013. The cost of the forum is $10 and will include snacks, drinks, and lunch.
