Real people doing real jobs have now begun to bring their realities into local classrooms through the Foundation’s new Thirty Minute Career Talks.
The project began after a round of conversations with Sally Davis, founder of Growing Ambitions UK – a national, award-winning brokerage service that pairs employers as speakers with classrooms across the country.
“For young people’s sakes, Growing Ambitions [career information service] needs to become a national institution, part and parcel of education and corporate life”, states Davis. “Employers all over the UK, from the private, public and voluntary sectors, are encouraging Speaker volunteering among their employees.”
The Foundation believes the same and has begun the work of convincing local corporations and educators of the need.
